Personal Comments: It was a coincidence that I obtained internet access at the time of my diagnosis, and soon after discovered newsgroups, and mhd. Since then I have learnt a great amount about my predicament from mhd, and more recently this newsgroup - asd. Over the years the many knowledgeable posters here have undoubtedly extended my life. It is thanks to them that I have been able to manage my diabetes proactively, not simply blindly relying on a doctor's advice.
After managing my diabetes by diet, exercise and oral medication, I have now extended that management to include Lantus and Novolog, attaining a much tighter control of my bg.
