U.S. Veteran A Memorial Service for Guy Stinson Williams, 80, of Needville, TX, is set for 3 PM Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel in Needville, TX, with Rev. Jeff Kluttz officiating.
Guy Stinson Williams was born February 28, 1930, in Morgan County, Kentucky, to Charles Williams and Venus Stinson Williams. He died January 2, 2011, in Needville, TX. He served in the US Army. Guy was a graduate of the University of Dayton and later taught engineering at the university. He retired in 1990 as an engineer with Texas Instruments. He was a licensed pilot and an avid arborist. Guy loved Big Band music; he knew the music and he knew about the artists.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, and by his sister, Mary Ruth White. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Ramona "Mona" Williams; son, Gregory Williams; daughter, Sandra Farley; stepsons, Steve Anderson and wife, Patsy, and Dwayne Ross Anderson; grand daughter, Stefani Anderson Madison and husband, Robb; grandson, Quint Anderson and wife, Micheal; sister, Helen Kramer; and niece, Susie Spergin.
Memorials may be given in his memory to the Bereavement Ministry of First Baptist Church of Needville, P.O. Box 292, Needville, TX 77461.
